Your face is the first thing that a person notices when they see you, this part of your body is also the most exposed part to the elements – the sun, dust and pollution all contribute to the degrading of the quality of your skin. It’s important therefore for you to maintain and keep your skin healthy.

Here are a few facial tips for women to make sure your skin is as healthy and clean as it can get.

  1. Wash your face regularly
    Washing your face regularly is the most important step that you can take to ensure your skin is free of pollution and kept away from elements as much as possible. Washing your face twice to three times a day make sure that no elements are contained and they are well cleansed. Make sure to use a good face wash with natural ingredients so that there is no lack of moisture after the wash. Herbal face washes are the best for these purposes. Further, you can use plain cold water to wash your face as well.
  2. Scrub your face once a week
    Dead cells accumulate all across your face and it’s important for you to remove them regularly. A good scrub is essential to remove these dead cells properly. Be careful to not scrub too hard, else you will end up bruising your skin. Use a towel dipped in warm water to remove the scrub and gently pat down the skin with normal tap water. It’s recommended to use a moisturizer or a face pack after a scrub to keep the skin hydrated.
  3. Use sun-screen regularly
    The UV rays of the sun do more harm than pollution and the heat combined, a good quality sun-screen will help you battle the UV rays and prevent you from tanning as well. Try and go for a higher SPA rating on your sun screen, this helps you protect your skin better.
  4. Drinks lots of water
    Keep the skin hydrated is very essentials, irrespective of the weather conditions – drink at least 2 – 3ltrs of water a day. Not only will this keep your body hydrated, this will also help you maintain an even glow on your skin.
  5. Eat healthyhealthyYou could be doing all of the above and yet you might not get the results that you wanted, your diet is more important than you think. The body reflects what its fed. A good mix of healthy fruits and protein will ensure that your body is getting the right amount of vitamins and essentials that it requires to function properly and look good. As much as possible try to use organic produce and not canned fruits.

If followed regularly, these steps will ensure that you have a great and glowing skin all year though!
